Diesel Technician

Duties:

Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers
Research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
Doing preventative maintenance repairs—like replacing or rotating tires—and completing vehicle component lubrication and replacement, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles
Working on other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment
Comfortable using mechanical and electrical power tools
Good problem-solving skills
Knowledge of shop and yard equipment (wheel and tire equipment, diagnostic equipment, forklift, etc).
Keep attention to detail
Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics
Proficiency in the use of diesel engine diagnostic software
Good interpersonal skills
Effective collaboration and communication skills
Reliability is a must, good people skills, training will be provided if needed
Must have their own tools
